Roger French is a well known figure in the bus industry having successfully run the buses operation in Brighton for many years and, since his retirement, writing about the current state of the industry. His Bus and Train User Blog is read by thousands every week.
His latest blog, “24 hours in Penzance and Truro”, documents his experience of spending time on the new Go Cornwall Bus services that started last weekend. He gives his thoughts on how well the operator is doing (he is generally complimentary) and highlights some specific points. For example, he expresses surprise and some concern about the U-turn manoeuvre that double decker buses have to perform in Mousehole.
Overall, it is a very good read.
