Both First and Go Cornwall Bus have smartphone apps that should enable passengers to see up to date information about what is happening with bus services in their area, in particular whether the bus that they are expecting to catch is running and if it is on time. I am pleased to see that Go Cornwall Bus has updated its app recently so that services that are cancelled are specifically marked on the app as “cancelled”. Whilst any cancellation of a scheduled service is an inconvenience for a passenger waiting for it, at least marking it on the app as cancelled enables the passenger to be sure that it is not turning up rather than being left in limbo wondering whether it might appear at some point. It is an improvement from the previous regime where the service simply disappeared from the listing.
