A few days ago, I reported on the disappearance of the Transport for Cornwall website. On 1 August, it went offline, seemingly replaced by the Cornwall by Bus website.
However, in the last 24 hours, the Transport for Cornwall website has come back online whilst the Cornwall by Bus website also continues to operate, not to mention the rather strange Legendary Journeys website.
All display the Transport for Cornwall logo. Presumably the Legendary Journeys site will be taken down after the end of the summer holidays and the promotional family bus fares cease, but the other two websites will continue in tandem. I cannot work out what the logic is for Cornwall Council and the bus operators to have the two sites but, perhaps, at some point, they will explain it. They are still a long way from their aim, stated over 2 years ago, to "to bring all your essential travel information together in one place."
I note that the TfC website has, at last, updated the information on fares now giving the correct prices for the family all-day and all-week fares, and has updated the link to the most recent timetable book. However, given that the discounted fares expire on 2 September and a new timetable book will take effect from 1 September, it will be interesting to see if the TfC website is updated again when these changes happen.
